The Process of Plate Heat Exchanger Works

20 Feb 2020

The plate heat exchanger is a new type of efficient heat exchanger, which is made of a series of corrugated metal sheets. A thin rectangular channel is formed between various plates to exchange heat through half plates. Compared with the conventional shell and tube heat exchanger, its heat transfer coefficient is much higher under the same flow resistance and pump power consumption, and it tends to replace shell and tube heat exchanger in the applicable range.

Due to the special function of the corrugated surface of the plate, the flow direction of the fluid along the narrow and curved channel changes continuously, which causes the strong end movement of the fluid at a small flow rate (RC = 200), thus speeding up the destruction of the fluid boundary layer, strengthening the heat transfer process, effectively improving the heat transferability, and making the structure compact, low metal consumption, large operation flexibility, small heat loss, convenient installation, inspection and cleaning, strong corrosion-resistance, long service life and other outstanding advantages. The process of the heat exchanger is composed of many plates assembled according to certain process and technical work requirements of the demander. During the assembly, plates and B are arranged alternately. Four corner hole distribution pipes and convergence pipes are formed between plates. The sealing gasket seals the hot and cold medium in the heat exchanger, and at the same time, the hot and cold medium is separated reasonably without mixing. In the channel, the hot and cold fluid flows in intervals, and the counterflow fluid can flow in the same direction. In the process of flow, the hot and cold fluid exchanges heat through the plate wall. There are many process combinations of the plate heat exchanger, which are realized by different reversing plates and different assemblies. The process combination forms can be divided into a single process, multi-process, vapour-liquid exchange process and mixed process. The process combination of heat exchanger shall be selected according to the process conditions.
