Plate Heat Exchanger Belongs to Efficient Heat Exchange Equipment

12 Apr 2020

In practical application, there are two kinds, one is the umbrella plate heat exchanger made by spinning method, the other is the plate heat exchanger made by stamping method. Its structure features are as follows: the plate heat exchanger has small volume and small floor area.

The floor area of plate heat exchanger is about 30% of that of row tube heat exchanger with the same heat exchange capacity, which is more superior than that of spray type. Plate heat exchanger has high heat transfer efficiency. The plate heat exchanger can make the two kinds of heat exchange fluid at a lower flow rate, enhance the disturbance, stir up the turbulence, and enhance the heat transfer. The heat transfer coefficient K can reach 16720j / (M2? H? ℃) (water to water), which is 2-4 times higher than that of the tube heat exchanger. The assembly of plate heat exchanger is flexible.

When the production requires to change the process conditions and output, the plate heat exchanger can meet the requirements only by increasing or decreasing the number of plates or changing the channel form of plate assembly process. The metal consumption of plate heat exchanger is low. Plate heat exchanger is mainly composed of heat transfer sheet pressed by stainless steel or titanium alloy, sealant pad, clamping bolt and whole frame of pressing plate.

The metal consumption per square meter of plate heat exchanger is about 8kg, while that of spiral plate heat exchanger with the same parameters is about 20kg, and that of other shell and tube heat exchangers is more. The heat loss of plate heat exchanger is small. The plate heat exchanger is only exposed to the atmosphere around the plate, and the heat loss is only about 1%. So it doesn't need insulation. The plate heat exchanger is easy to disassemble, clean and maintain. Loosen the compression nut for cleaning and maintenance, and replace the rubber pad or plate. For the medium easy to scale, on the one hand, the medium in the plate heat exchanger has intense turbulence, and the critical Reynolds number of turbulence is about 10 times lower than that of the general tubular heat exchanger, so it is not easy to scale.
