Sinopec Changling branch is a large state-owned industrial enterprise directly subordinate to Sinopec. The company is located in Lukou Town, Yunxi Area, Yueyang City, near Dongting Lake and Yangtze River's beautiful coast. Sinopec Changling branch grew out of the Changling Oil Refinery, was founded in 1995 and put into production in 1971. After 40 years' reform and development, a large oil refining chemical enterprise can crude oil processing 8 million tons/ year and the annual output of polypropylene 0.13 million tons—owned refining/ chemical production devices 30 sets. Changling branch has become the most important petroleum and chemical industry base in the South and middle of China.
