Samsung Group (Korean: 삼성) is one of the best-known companies in South Korea and the country’s largest corporate group. It comprises 44 affiliated companies and a number of other legal entities. Recognized as one of the world’s most respected companies, Samsung maintains more than 400 locations across 76 countries and employs 260,000 people. Samsung Electronics, the Group’s largest subsidiary, is the world’s second-largest mobile-phone manufacturer and the world’s largest electronics company by revenue. In a PCW system, plate heat exchangers transfer heat between the cooling water produced by chillers or cooling towers and the process water, removing heat generated by production equipment. After cooling and filtration, the process water is returned to the production line in a closed loop. This keeps process equipment operating under stable temperature and pressure conditions and meets the requirements of semiconductor manufacturing. The process water may be purified or ultrapure water.
